Since 1967 Tie Weavers South Africa has been the only weaver of custom-designed tie fabric on the African continent. Today, the skills we have learnt and developed over the last four decades are being utilised to offer a unique range of fabrics to the promotional, corporate and decorating market. In-house Design Studio
Using our own in-house design studio with highly skilled designers, we are able to design fabric from start to woven. We have the most sophisticated Jacquard weaving design programmes available in the world today, allowing you to see the product through every stage of design. We develop concepts based on your brief and produce conceptual artwork which combines your creative ideas with our understanding of woven fabrics. Once we have satisfied your design requirements, we produce printed simulations of the fabric in actual size and colour to ensure that all the details are correct prior to sampling. At this stage, we can also produce prints of how the fabric will look in its final application. Using your photograph of the furniture in the office or the clothes on a model, we can simulate our fabric onto the photograph for the decision maker to be able to see the fabric in situ.
Custom-designed Fabrics
Custom-designed short run fabrics are now available for a wide range of applications. We have successfully designed and woven fabric for upholstery, women’s wear and curtaining. These fabrics were carefully designed in conjunction with the end user to ensure a fabric that is personalised, enhances the client’s brand and matches the application for which it was designed.
Minimum orders of only 50 metres
The great advantage that we offer is the flexibility of short runs. From as little as 50 metres to thousands, Tie Weavers SA has the production machinery that can produce any quantity of fabric that you require. Being customised for your application, you will find that smaller runs allow you to create stunning opportunities within the corporate market. Whether your need is for upholstery fabric for a boardroom or reception area, barstools and cushions for a promotion in a pub or even branded fabric for skirts and jackets, we can produce them all.
A wide range of yarns and colours
Our stock of more than 30 tonnes of yarn covers over 160 colours in polyesters, polycottons, acrylics and others. The range of colours means that we can match most corporate brandings and cover all the fashion requirements that you may have. The yarns we use are carefully selected to give the best usage for the final application of the fabric. Polyester is hardwearing, polycotton offers breathability, and acrylic has a soft feel.
